Parenting Mindfully Workshop
Parenting mindfully allows us to be present with our children, to acknowledge and recognise their emotions and to teach them to self-regulate their emotions.
In order to do this, we as parents also need to acknowledge and control our own emotions and learn how to live in the present.
Skills gained in this workshop will allow you to feel empowered as parents, to guide our children through tough experiences and be present when we have family time.
This practically based, interactive workshop is based on the scientific studies of Positive Psychology which believe
well-being can be measured and improved.
* Being mindful – breathing and connecting with the body
* Emotions – How to recognise unhelpful emotions and thoughts and how to bring more positive emotions into your life.
Facilitator – Paula Porter
Paula is an energetic and passionate facilitator who loves empowering others to live their best lives. Paula is also the coordinator and lecturer of the Diploma in Animal Technology at TAFE SA. Paula has a Diploma in Positive Psychology & Wellbeing, as well as a Diploma in Vocational Education & Training.
