Walkerville has a reputation as a caring church and we endeavour to ensure that members of our congregation and their families are cared for in times of need. But as well as caring in the difficult times, we celebrate the happy times too – sharing God’s blessings to us during our worship time and through special morning teas and luncheons.
One of the very special strengths of our congregation is the prayer support of the members for the Minister and the activities of the congregation. The Bible study group and Soul Deep study group incorporate prayer in their time of sharing. In addition, a Prayer Tree operates within our congregation and any urgent prayer requests can be passed on to a group of faithful pray-ers. The Moderator of the SA Synod also encourages local churches in prayer at times of crisis in the local community and the world.
A small group of pray-ers gather in the vestry every Wednesday at 11.15 following Bible Study to pray for personal, congregational and community concerns.
Our Pastoral support team regularly visits residents of the Walkerville Residential Care Centre.
